 Aside from being a sport steeped in competition, hard work and guts, barrel racing is also a spectacle of grace and technique. Every rider at every level puts forth an effort to win and in doing so, they provide an endless amount of entertainment and excitement. It takes years of practice to make a horse and rider a winning combination and at any competition you will find young riders putting in the work so someday they can dominate the arena and live their dream of being barrel racing champions.
Our pic of the day comes from our past event at the Star N Ranch where one hundred and sixty-two racers came together to see who was the fastest of them all. This little rider showed no fear while going for it all. Certainly, she's putting in the work today to kick everybody's butt tomorrow. This little wrangler Alexandra Todd shows everybody how its done with some impressive riding skills. Alexandra and her horse are a perfect fit and fun to watch as they tear up the barrel pattern and race for home.
