North Texas rides again at BRAT Barrel race and it was buzzing with riders eager to get back to being Texan. The Barrel Racing Association of Texas was kicking up dirt for its Mother's Day event in North Texas. Hundreds of riders were trying their best to keep some distance from barrels as they returned to the arena to battle for cash and bragging rights. Although this Texas tradition can be filled with serious competition, its more like a get together with friends and family to ride horses and have fun. Winning buckles and money is nice but its the laughs and good times is all we ever remember. So it was nice to see so many riders come out and take part in this run for the money at Shepherds Valley arena in Alvarado.
