Introducing our iH News video blog that will take us into the arena to meet the people who make up our Texan rodeo community. Please welcome Kat Mackenzie, our teen correspondent who rides competitively on her high school rodeo team, and also participates in both youth rodeo at M7 in Alvarado and the Barrel Racing Association of Texas (BRAT). On this day she catches up with Lynley Underdwood in an up close and personal moment at M7 area in Alvarado Texas. Lynley is an 18 year old high rodeo team member who is soon to be moving on to college. She trains horses and teaches rodeo skills to younger boys and girls in the area. She's a busy young lady who always seems to be on a horse where she feels most at home. Join us again when we return with more video profiles, clips of the day, and arena news some some of the best rodeo events in North Texas. Special thanks as always to Todd Massey and the entire Massey family at M7 Arena in Alvarado who put on a great youth rodeo and promotes the sport with a positive family atmosphere. ![]() And a big round of applause for our own Kat Mackenzie. She's a well respected member of the local rodeo community and a great addition to our team. If you see a big Kat in the alley, its a good sign. And nobody gets tired of cash. Once the barrels stopped spinning, Marissa Berg and ENB Felena cashed in with a winning time of 16:695. As we say good-bye to 2016, we would like to thank each and every one of you for allowing us to photograph your moments on the spotlight and to be a part of the rodeo community. Please view our salute to 2016 below and we wish you the best in 2017! The youth of North Texas saddled up this weekend for another year of competition at M7 Arena in Alvarado as they kicked off their 2017 rodeo season. The two day event included hundreds of young riders focused on developing their talents and skills that will lead them towards their hopes and dreams of becoming the rodeo stars of tomorrow. Although the competition and backles are important, the lessons taught in and out of the arena are what makes these young cowboys and girls winners in life. Dicipline, determination, getting up when you fall, serve as a foundation for becoming successful adults no matter what path they take in the future. Hosted by Todd and Lori Massey, the M7 YRA prides itself on promoting the sport of rodeo with a strong sense of family values, community and friendly competition. Although youth rodeos exist throughout many states in America, M7 is special to those who attend because of the leadership provided by Todd, the judges and staff that encourage and support each rider, win or lose. With Christmas fast approaching, M7 also collected toys and gifts for families of Johnson County as thier tradition of giving back to the surrounding community. And the day wouldn't have been complete without a visit from St. Nicolas himself who stopped by on his busy world tour to hear the wishes of every child. I'm certain there were requests for new horses, boots, hats, and toys, but nothing can beat the blessings of health, peace and happiness shared by everybody who stands together with faith in God above. As your official photographers, Imagehounds is thankful for our staff, Alisson Carmona, Jessica Fulford, Rachelle Barta, and Alex Hal. Our success is the result of a concerted effort to be great. We are also thankful for the blessings of being a part of the rodeo community and for our many friends who have become family. We recognize how lucky we are to do what we love and we wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy new year! NOW AVAILABLE FOR CHRISTMAS

From the front office to the barrel setters, its an all-star cast that makes each race day run smoothly. Below are the faces behind the scenes and a special thank you to them for the time and effort they put forth that makes D&D so successful. ![]() Jim Wahlenmaier provides the color commentary and soundtrack to the arena and puts a personal touch on every run. The D&D ring master keeps the runners running, the tractors dragging and he definitely keeps the audience engaged during any break in the action. Jim is one of a kind and we appreciate his services and every shout out he gives to each sponsor and vendor! Thanks Jim "#imagehounds" There wouldn't be a barrel race without the riders and horses that race through the alleyway in pursuit of cash and glory. We love to photograph each and every one of your moments in the spotlight. Below is Kassie Mowry in a hurry for a payday at Graham Texas. They dusted off the chaps for one more ride and put on a show full of triumph and disaster. This "Blast from the Past" included top notch jurassic cowboys and cowgirls taking on rank bulls for that eight second rush of adrenaline. And it was awesome! No signs of rust with these guys as they rode like it was yesterday and legend bull rider Don Gay called the event from the announcers booth. This event was hosted at the Knapp Ranch in Mansfield Texas and put together by Dale Fultz. This action packed bull riding event was everything it was promised to be, and there are more editions of this Blast from the Past series to come. Stay tuned. Not to be out done, the girls climbed into the chutes to show the crowd that girl tough is tough enough. Crystal Juare took her bull for a wild ride all the way to the bank! Watching bull riding is one of the most exciting sports on the planet because bulls are mean and the rider must be crazy. The danger in riding bulls is plain to see but the love of the sport outweighs the thoughts of risk and each rider knows to respect the animals they ride. This past weekend that risk thrill of the ride turned into disaster as DeeDee Crawford was involved in a horrible wreck that has changed her life. Click Here to help raise funds for DeeDee Crawford's medical care...![]() A fundraising effort has been started to assist DeeDee with her medical bills with a goal of $50,000 dollars. For more information regarding her condition and progress please click here. I met DeeDee just before the event started and she was so light hearted and kind. Its terrible to see anybody get hurt, but its especially sad when it happens to someone as nice as Ms Crawford. To everybody in the rodeo community who knows a girl who rides and understands that bad things happen I ask you to extend a hand and help this member of the rodeo family who is in real need of support, prayers and money to help her recover from this devastating event. All donations help regardless of the dollar amount. Share this link Imagehounds would like to thank Dale Fultz the promoter of the "Blast From The Past" for putting together such a great event.
